Information  to  Help  with  Your  Travel  Plans

Welcome out-of-towners! We're really excited to see all of our family and friends from outside the DC area, and are so happy you can join us for our big day.

We know many of you have never been to DC before (let alone Leesburg), so we put together some information that should make your travel plans a little easier. As always, please don't hesitate to contact us if you have any questions.

The Ceremony and Reception at Whitehall Manor

Both the ceremony and reception will be held at Whitehall Manor, just outside of Leesburg, VA. The ceremony starts at 5:30pm, with the reception immediately to follow. Whitehall is about 45 minutes from Washington-Dulles International Airport (IAD), or 1 hour and 15 minutes from downtown Washington, DC. The exact address is 18301 Whitehall Estate Lane, Bluemont, VA 20135.

More information about Whitehall Manor is located at http://www.historicwhitehall.com/.

Flights to Washington, DC

Three major airports lie within the greater Washington, DC area:

  • Washington-Dulles International Airport (IAD): 45 minutes from Whitehall

  • Ronald Reagon Washington National Airport (DCA): 1 hr and 15 mintes from Whitehall

  • Baltimore-Washington International Airport (BWI): 1 hr and 45 minutes from Whitehall

Here's a map of all three airports and Whitehall Manor: http://goo.gl/maps/wEgR0

All travel estimates listed above are by car. If you do not plan on spending any spare time in the capital (example: flying in Saturday morning and leaving Sunday), we encourage you fly into IAD; it's significantly closer to the wedding location. However, if you are staying longer and/or plan to spend some vacation time in Washington, DC, consider flying into DCA. DCA is farther from the wedding venue, but is located in downtown DC (and is accessible via public transportation = Metro).

The hotels we've reserved will provide a shuttle service between IAD and their respective hotels. We will also be providing shuttle service between Whitehall Manor and the reserved hotels on Saturday (see below).
